Klimas Wkręt-met at the Holzbau Forum in Innsbruck under the flag of a new project

Innsbruck is the next stop on the itinerary of the International Wood Construction Forum (Forum Holzbau). After meetings of experts from the wood construction, and architecture industry in Warsaw, Berlin, Italy’s Garda, Spain’s Pamplona, and Helsinki, also in Innsbruck Klimas Wkręt-met, one of the largest suppliers of fastening techniques for wooden structures, will present itself among the exhibitors. However, the theme will not only be products.

The International Forum of Wooden Construction (Forum Holzbau) is one of the most important events concerning wooden construction. It has been held for 25 years in Europe’s largest cities and has a mission to promote the qualities of timber as well as to spread practical expertise in the timber construction industry. It offers constructors, designers, engineers, and architects the opportunity to talk about their experiences, work, and goals about timber structures. At the same time, it is the largest platform for information and the exchange of ideas.

Sustainable timber construction

Although wood is a renewable and sustainable building material, it still only represents a small part of the global construction industry. Urbanization is constantly accelerating, putting upward pressure on residential construction. Today, it is a construction that generates more than 30% of global carbon emissions. It is therefore clear that this trend needs to change and Europe needs more environmentally sustainable solutions. A key factor in urban construction is the speed of the construction process, which, seemingly, could be an obstacle to the use of wood in the urbanization process. Industry 4.0 processes and procedures are desirable to maintain and extend the technical advantages of timber construction over traditional construction. In comparison, the advantages of timber construction prove to be considerable, especially in terms of construction time and quality. However, it is the ecological aspects that remain the proverbial ace up wood’s sleeve in the sustainability discourse. This discourse dominates society today and thus continues to have a strong influence on investors. Therefore, the theme of the conference in Innsbruck will be timber investment construction.

Fixing techniques for sustainable construction

Klimas Wkręt-met is participating in further events in the Forum Holzbau series, presenting its latest developments in the field of fastening techniques for timber construction. Among the articles in this category will be carpentry screws and fasteners, techniques for fixing thermal wall insulation to wooden substrates, and mechanical anchors, as well as a family of universal screws, dedicated to anchoring in concrete, which, like other Klimas Wkręt-met products, are characterized by ease of installation and safety of use. The offer is based on an assortment of standardized fasteners. All products have European Technical Accreditation (ETA), which confirms absolute observance of the established standards of manufacture, storage, and distribution, as well as constant control of the production process.

However, that is not all. The manufacturer, known in Poland for its many social initiatives, will be presenting the premiere of an exceptional project in Innsbruck.

An exceptional project for exceptional times

Since the beginning, the company has been active in the local community, supporting charities, education, and sport. However, the initiative we are about to learn about combines all aspects of the company’s activities, in one creative project. Attendees at the conference in Innsbruck will be the first to see first-hand the idea of combining industry, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), and CCR (Corporate Cultural Responsibility). Isn’t that too much for one project? We will soon see that it is possible. The result may surprise and, delight.

The premiere will take place on 30 November.
